finally watched Lady Bird and I gotta say I am a bit disappointed ://

#I mean I love saoirse ronan #and it’s one of the main reasons I wanted to watch this film #and maybe it just wasn’t my day to watch it #but I was annoyed about seeing chalamet guy #and about all the clichees of an artsy movie #I loved the cinnemonatography and the music and the vibe #but it was a bit too much of ‚look! we are an artsy film bc we have the catholic gay boy #and the mysterious artsy fuckboy who always holds a book #and teenagers that smoke aestheticly! and we have a weird stoic goth girl!!#and of course the rich people dont have a personality - only the theatre kids are lovable!#and look they are so free they are laughing on the floor!!!‘#idk I’m just so bored of the typical artsy scenes and tropes in those kind of movies #they are good and played really well - dont get me wrong!!!#but I’m just so tired of always being like this… it was all a bit predictable #and tbh the beginning felt SO rushed #they moved on from one storyline to the next in a time that was too short for my taste #I really wish they would have put some more depth into it #Lady Bird did have some depth of course bc she’s the main #but I still feel like there was a lot more potential for her and the mother #it mostly felt a bit random. and maybe I just don’t get it ??? maybe the movie isn’t for me??#but I’m sad - I really really wanted to LOVE it #I mean I like it - it’s not bad!
