A short walk from the house that I am staying at is this wonderful area that has a coffee shop, a bakery, a small market, and an art gallery. When I walked over there yesterday, my host family’s dog, Mocha, followed me. When I got there, I was greeted by another dog I know, Snug. Basically, this place is a doggy day care as it is overrun with dogs like 80% of the time. I got a wonderful hot chocolate from the Monteverde Coffee Center which I could not share with he dogs (and even received a 20% discount) while I worked on choreography for the show.

On the way to the Centro Comercial (which is where I have been working for the past week), I bought some sort of pastry with a nice flaky dough filled with some sort of caramel cream. It was pretty good and very flaky (plus there was powdered sugar so there was even more of a mess).

Rehearsals have officially begun for Fiddler on the Roof! The cast read through (the majority of) the script and there were some games played as well (NINJA!). Rehearsal ended at 7, but we had to stay for an additional two hours to finalize what we need in terms of costumes. Then, we had to go get the pages printed (it was 9 by this point). At this point I was very hungry (some would believe that to be an understatement). I was not able to eat dinner until 10 (but it was well worth the wait - rice and beans and zucchini).
