At different times, I have worked for the government at the federal, state, and county level. Two of these positions were temporary contracts, so they didn’t last more than 3-6 months, but still! Also, I have never held an elected office.
Because of one of the aforementioned positions, I am FBI trained (but not certified - certification requires over 1000 hours of fieldwork and training! I think I logged, like, 12-15 hours.) in taking fingerprints.
I saw Serenity first (never saw Firefly on TV because of schedule conflicts), and I loved it so much it single-handedly motivated me to go back and watch the series.
Ever since I read Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy for the first time in junior high, I’ve had an “emergency towel" that I always keep in a convenient location, even if it’s not with me at a particular moment.
Before deciding to become a librarian, I wanted to be a trance deejay (prior to that, career choices included selections such as public school teacher, restauranteur, dinosaur, astronaut, paleontologist, and news anchor). I currently work as an editor.
