It struck him like poison. No worse, like a giant cannonball. Yeah, that’s more like it. Because he could have never imagined ever in his life that he could see Raph, his best bud, so happy and so in love with a girl. And not a whatever girl, but with a salamander soldier.

I guess she is his type.

But then why was he couldn’t feelths unease. Why the knot in his stomach couldn’t go loose.

Was this jealousy or envy? If so why? Because Raph had a girlfriend before him? Because his best friend got his first kiss and didn’t faint poisoned? (thanks Karai) Or it was because… it was Raph.

But I like April… right?

He definetly liked April, she was a nice chick after all, but he couldn’t brush off the thought of Raph with Mona Lisa. Did he hate her? Why would he? He never thought he could have a chance with Raph, I mean he never thought of him in that way…until now.

What was the point? He was gone. He still might have a chance with April, so why ruining his own existence with these thoughts? But they are still there, in his head.

Why do you hate me so much, brain? Relax, Casey. Let it go, it could have never worked.

And then she was gone and Raph turned his head to him, staring at him expectantly… and in that moment Casey understood. The only thing his friend needed right now was his best friend comforting him and nothing more.

“Oh, come on, man. I know she’s too cool for you, but you got charm. I’m sure she will bever forget you and when this is over, we will search for her.” he said while putting his right arm over his shoulder like he did plenty of times.

“Thanks, man… And what was that face you did before after I kissed Mona? Never kissed a girl before?”

“AH! Jones kissed lots of girls before.” More like one “By the way, Raph, I’m happy for you.”

He deserves to be happy after all.
