last year curator Sarah Todd and I worked together on Kingsgate Mall Happenings, a month of mall happenings in Vancouver that were cut short due (many) unforseen obstacles. Despite its “faliure”, it lead to many great things: one being the resulting film, Kingsgate Mall Happenings, and another being Chinatown Happenings that is going on here and now in Toronto.
Sarah and I had a chance to talk in public about these projects for the first time on Monday and it is documented here* and here.
*i say “like” and “um”...a lot.... like umm will work on that
