I was literally in the room when he was telling the story about how Kripke wrote him as God. I don’t understand why people are still unwilling to accept that as canon :|
I envy you. Y'know, I don't know. In one breath, people will complain that since it wasn't explicitly said, then it's not canon. But in the next, they'll praise J.K. for Dumbledore when she didn't explicitly mention his sexuality in the books. Sometimes they'll take "Word of God" as the answer, others they'll toss it out the window because it doesn't match their headcanons. :|
Like with no wing prints. Not every angel has them; that's not a recent development. Jim Michaels said Samandriel didn't have wings because he was a lower rank. That makes sense. Lower rank wouldn't burn as hotly, given angelology. Why oh why would Jim make that up so smoothly? People chock it up to the special effects being lazy, or them forgetting. Uh, did we see the same season? Cas' glow and his wings? Crowley's red smoke? Naomi's glow? Hellhounds? Fucking angel wings on fire? The set department paying attention to wallpaper patterns and Naomi's mood lighting? I'm sure it would be far easier to airbrush in some wings... Jim also made a comment about the size of Hellhounds, showed a cutout on Twitter, and SURPRISE! Guess what? That was the size they made them. So, no, I don't buy that Samandriel/Naomi didn't have wings because they forgot to put them on. Jim's word not good enough for ya?
