Warnings: Attempted Rape (light)
You and Cas had been going strong for over 4 months now and it was just pure bliss. He was very protective of you be it from monsters or from just some random guy’s stares. Tonight you had just finished a weeklong hunt with Sam and Dean, a freaking Wraith! It wasn’t easy but you managed to find her and dispose of her. Of course you were the one to accidentally get hurt but your angel was there to heal you right away.
Now you were with the three of them at a local bar enjoying a few rounds of beer. Sam had gone to hustle some pool while Dean did the same with darts. Cas had his arm wrapped around your shoulder as you leaned into his side occasionally sipping your beer.
“Hey Cas.” You peered upwards to see your angel looking down at you in question.
“I never did thank you for healing me earlier, so… Thank you.” You smiled sheepishly at him. He gave a small smile and nodded lightly pecking your forehead.
“It was no problem, ________. I was worried for you. You need to be more careful.” He said in a caring manner with a hint of sternness. You giggled and nodded resting your head back on his side.
You shifted slightly uncomfortable as you felt eyes on you from somewhere. When you looked up at Cas he wasn’t looking at you, instead staring curiously at Dean throwing the darts. You proceeded to look around the room trying to distinguish where that odd ‘someone is watching me’ feeling was coming from. When you saw not one person looking at you, you went ahead and shrugged it off thinking it was possibly the beer, after all it was your 3rd one. Yes, your 3rd one, you had a high tolerance for alcohol, it seemed to come with the gig.
Castiel shifted and looked down at you.
“Would you like to go back to the bunker now?” He questioned after seeing your slightly drooping eyes despite the loud rock music playing in the bar. You inhaled and nodded.
“Yeah, let me just go tell Dean.” You muttered sliding out of his grasp once he nodded. As you walked over to Dean you got that feeling again, it was more intense than before, it even made a shiver run down your spin but you ignored it, reaching to grab Dean’s attention.
“Hey, Cas and I are going to go back to the bunker.” You told him he smirked and raised his eyebrows.
“Okay, but don’t do anything on the sofa’s, or counter tops.” You frowned and hit his arm with the back of your hand
“That’s nasty Dean! We are simply going because I’m tired… You know what I shouldn’t even have to explain myself!” You grumbled annoyed at Dean who just chuckled at you, nodding.
Cas came up behind you and wrapped his arm around your waist leading you out the door. He learned it was best to disappear out of the public’s view. The both of you stopped bear the Impala before Cas flew you back to the bunker. As soon as you landed inside Cas picked you up bridle style while you gave no complaint knowing the normal argument of ‘I’m to heavy’ wasn’t going to work on an angel since he obviously had strength way beyond any human being could possibly posses. So he carried you to your room while you snuggled into his warm shirt clad chest. He gently placed you down on the bed snapping his fingers so both of you were in pajamas. You wore a red and black striped tank top and black sleeping pants. Cas was wearing just black sleeping pants as he climbed into bed with you. He obviously didn’t sleep but he liked snuggling next to you and listening to your breathing while he rested his eyes.
You mumbled a ‘thank you’ as you were so close to falling asleep.
“You’re welcome, ____________. Good night” He muttered soothingly in your ear and lightly kissing you on the cheek giving you that last push into a world of your own making.
You woke the next morning to find yourself alone in bed. You glanced around the room to confirm you were alone before jumping to the conclusion that Cas was busy upstairs. He rarely left while you slept unless it was clearly angel things that needed to be taken care of. You clambered out of bed and made your way to the bathroom to get ready for the day, which meant visiting the oval office, taking a needed shower since you smelled of last night’s bar and then breakfast.
Once you got dressed and fixed your hair you shuffled to the kitchen to make yourself caffeinated heaven, aka, coffee. You almost had a full-blown panic attack when you couldn’t find the coffee anywhere! You searched high and low even going as far as climbing on the counters to search the very top shelf thinking Sam or Dean hid it as a sick joke. However when you found none you, dropped to the floor and decided to make a coffee run. You wrote a note saying that you were going to be gone for about 20 minutes and that you went to get some coffee before you headed to the bunker’s garage. You climbed into your maroon ’67 Chevelle before leaving the bunker still sulking from no coffee.
It wasn’t to long before you had reached the nearest convenient store/gas station. When you walked in a cold chill quickly ran down your spine. You weren’t sure if it was the fact that the gas station had one of those over head blower things to keep the bugs out or if it was something to do with your instincts; so playing it safe you decided to remain as alert as possible without looking suspicious. You quickly sifted through the aisles getting anything you thought you might need aside from coffee. By the time you made it to the cashier you had, eggs, milk, bread, coffee, an apple pie for Dean, stuff for Sam to make a salad, and a pint of ice cream for you for later today.
The cashier rang it all up before you handed him the money wanting nothing more than to get out and back to the bunker. You noticed the cashier sneaking glances at you when he thought you weren’t. It was unnerving because he was about twice the size of you and looked like he could take on Dean or Sam with ease. He handed you your change after freaking forever. You slipped it into your back pocket and grabbed three bags.
“I’ll be back for those 3 in a second.” You told him while you left to drop off the three bags into your car.
When you came back the cashier was gone, your bags were on the counter so you shrugged and grabbed them. Just as you were about to leave you felt a hand on your bicep.
“You’re that girl from the bar last night aren’t you?” You huskily asked. It wasn’t like Cas’ husky voice it seemed more sinister.
“Um I don’t know what you’re talking about, can you please let me go?” You yanked your arm out of his grasp before continuing to walk as confidently as you could to the exit. You gasped as you were yanked back, dropping the bags in the process.
“You are, I know you are. You’re the girl I so desperately wanted.” You whispered from behind you in your ear. You heart leapt into your throat as you quickly hit him in the gut.
“Look man, leave me the heck alone! I don’t know who the hell you think you are but I am SO not interested in you. I have a boyfriend so leave me alone.” You growled now angry with the man. Deep down you were so scared but you knew the key was assertion!
The man chuckled before his eyes flicked solid black. Your heart officially left your entire body as you stared at him. You were defenseless! You left all your hunting gear at the bunker.
“You’re __________ __________ aren’t you? The girl who hunts with the Winchester brothers and that angel?” Your eyes narrowed as he advanced. With each step he took forward you took one backward. You heard the door latch closed behind you before he raised his hand and flicked his wrist causing you to go flying across the room and land on some shelves. You grunted in pain as you lay on top of the shelf that was now knocked over. Curse you for being so stupid. You quietly shrieked when you were sent sliding in to a more open area.
With in seconds the demon was on top of you shoving your wrist harder onto the floor with his demonic abilities. Your mind was racing as your heart slammed in against your ribcage. As you struggled your noticed the demon eyeing you up and down making you close your legs tightly against each other and curl yourself up as best as you could shying away from his wandering gaze. A slow horrid smile crept its way on his lips as he knelt down next to you. You watched him slowly extend his hand and grip your face harshly. You almost gagged when you felt his chapped lips forcing his way onto yours. You thrashed around wildly when you felt the demon straddle your waist. There was no way in Hell that this was going to happen to you without you putting up a pretty darn good fight! The demon smirked into the kiss.
“Go ahead, fight. It’s kind of a turn on.” He whispered.
You cried out when he ripped your shirt open exposing your skin to the cold air. You shook your head violently as his eyes raked over you.
“Castiel!” You shrieked, 100% pure terror leaking into your scream, before you felt a fist connect with your cheek in a back handed swing. It was only 2 seconds later that you heard the flutter of wings before the demon was ripped off of you and sent flying into the frozen drink machine 20 feet away. The invisible force that bound your hands to the floor, alleviated to where you could free your hands. What you saw before you made your heart rate slowly decrease in relief. Castiel was standing with his back facing you with his wings completely spread out, shielding you from the furious demon. Yes, you could see his wings since you were his soul mate and being an angel’s soul mate meant you were damn near impossible to hurt when your angel was present.
Castiel had his angel blade extended in a battle stance as you leaned on the counter behind him. The demon let out an inhuman growl as he stood before Cas trying to make himself look bigger; Cas in turn spread his wings even more and let out his own inhuman growl. The demon made the first and only move. He had stupidly charged Cas head on earning himself an angel blade to the chest thanks to Castiel’s years of fighting experience. The demons stood for a moment shocked before dropping limply to the ground in front of Cas. When Cas was sure the demon was dead he tucked his wings behind him and swiftly turned to face your slightly shaking form. He quickly knelt down in front of your and gently placed his hands on your cheeks forcing you to look at him.
“__________, are you alright?” His eyes roamed over you checking to see any physical injuries. You nodded and gripped onto his coat’s lapel. You pulled you into a hug as you shakily held onto to him. You were in slight shock over the entire thing. You were also mentally kicking yourself for 1.) not bringing a knife and 2.) for not calling Cas quicker.
“I am sorry I didn’t come sooner, I did feel your distress but I couldn’t get here any sooner. For that, I am sorry.” He mumbled into your hair as he transported you back to the bunker. You closed your eyes and held onto Cas as he rocked you back and forth while sitting on your bed.
“I forgive you. I am just sorry I didn’t handle the situation better.” You sniffled as tears threatened to spill from your eyes.
Cas pulled you away and held you at arms length.
“You should not be sorry for anything. You were scared, you handled the situation like any person would.” He was surprisingly gentle with you and he seemed more in tune to human emotion at this time. You pushed that thought to the back of your mind as you nodded letting Castiel lay you back on your bed while still holding you to his chest. His left onyx wing was stretched and draped over your like a protective blanket offering you comfort from it as though you were a small child.
