hi! this might be a silly question, but here goes... I'm trying to make graying/salt and pepper swatches for colors other than brown and black, but I'm getting nowhere fast. do you know of any recoloring tutorials that might be useful for something like this? thanks so much for your time.

i'd create my swatches as an ombres and make it an accessory using CAS sort layers. it's way easier than it sounds

Do you know of a tutorial on how to get hair accessories in game

i do not BUT in my brain, you would just make the hair, put the accessories on the hair, delete the hair mesh but keep the barette or pin (or whatever hair accessory) on there and make that accessory occupy an accessory slot like glasses, necklace, or earrings.

but i have yet to do these. im going to tag @okruee and ask anyone here who has done hair accessories if they can help!

if anything, take a look at some hair accessories, export the meshes and see where it’s been uvmapped. from there you might be able to reverse engineer how to do hair accessories.

hair with curves

i know there’s like, 50-11 tutorials on hair with curves but this one drops a bit of a tip i have not seen in the other tutorials: using snapping to snap the hair curve onto the scalp.

i managed to do one hair with this tip and the wispy sides snapped onto the scalp at the point of origin instead of manually attaching each strand onto the scalp. this makes it easier to use mirror & array tool to attach more pieces along the base of the head and temples. plus with snapping, it lays more flat along the scalp.

if i get like, 2 hours of mental focus, i can write up a tutorial or video
