i’ve spent my whole life feeling like God was standing right behind me waiting to turn around. like i could feel his breathing on the back of my neck and he just wanted me to turn around, but he is so great and so terrible that i never could- god the body is just the site of a haunting isn’t it? the soul is a haunted space. the spirit is a haunted space. we are constantly looking for something that we feel but can’t see, hunting for answers. or maybe it just feels like strange company. comfort.
