However, what is important is how good JJay looks with facial hair? Sir. That is uncalled for.

as far as we are aware, the objects in bfdi have always existed together in that grassy plane of existence. and they didn’t have anyone else, it was just the 20 of them. this is emphasized with stuff like golfball’s tips and tricks book being millions of years old and stuff. the bfdi characters only ever had eachother— thats all they would’ve known they’re whole life.
leafy breaks this mold a bit by being able to travel to yoyleland, but those were still the only people she ever knew. and even if she might be not the best-friend (example number one bubble) she very much cared for all of them. i could even say she loved them all to a fair extent, they were all she really knew.
and via one mistake made in petty rage, she loses everything she ever knew and her whole identity. her existence revolved around being friendly, about always being the nice one. and a thief doesn’t really fit that definition, does it? the only people shes ever known try to permanently kill her, people who she helped throughout the first season. she lost everything. it all falls apart infront of her
and she forgave them. and i believe that leafy truly is a good object-person at heart. even if she kinda is an asshole sometimes.
Whumpees begging for a different torture then the one currently being used on them is, great!
like "no not that, get away! Anything else but that!" As its cut into their skin, they hate the other tortures as well, BUT this one they hate just so much more that they'd want something else entirely!
Like for non human whumpees or half human ones like were-humans or whatever those ones that have little features of the creature its based on, on their bodies are called. They are threaten with removable or damaged to it if they don't listen and comply to whumper without a fight or struggle. Then are left alone with the pain everywhere else on their body after the torture, the one they begged not to be used on them or a different one entirely.
Then they mess up and the whumper ends up using a even worse torture then what they threatening them with before, but both are awful; (the threat to the features, burning them, cutting them, skinning or removing them, ect) that list could go on!
They end up giving in half way just so it'd stop, they even try to not make a sound or be loud. Anything just to stop it but it doesn't till its over.
for skinning the whumpee, they show off the pieces of flesh that was removed with the non-human features/parts of it to the whumpee saying that if they don't do it right this'll happen again to them.
Their feature if its still attached to them or the area where it was is more sensitive when touched or hit now, so the whumper ends up hitting it as punishment when they do something wrong, it ends up getting them to push harder when doing orders and it works.
They can force whumpee to use the same torture on another nonhuman whumpee and watch as the other breaks down as everything is destroyed.
Another is something similar with a villian or hero threatening that same torture, after or prior to other torture done before. The character trying to be brave and not show that its bothering them but when rescued by the other heros or villans, specifically after the whumper character isn't at the place they end up crying and breaking down about what happened when the others asked what happened to them or why everything on their body was torn. (non-human)
if the other comes back and finds their gone they send another one to go search for them that was also under that torture before breaking, they end up telling the group when their what happened and it backfires on the whumper entirely.

In progress! I'm at 1,488 words so far but that's a good start as far as I'm concerned. :)
#harper has thoughts sometimes and she is able to articulate what I had no words to describe! Something happened (not a ship kinda something tho, lets be real) and is making them soft towards each other, but also completely blind to further options. Like with the sleepover thing on EB, it was an awkward conversation that even last year they would've been like NO WAY and now they are like mm maybe but not really and totally forget the creative house exist as to not make it an outright YES.
hahaha yes! It’s honestly so interesting to me. Who knows what “happened” and maybe it’s just been a gradual shift with both of them in therapy. It would honestly be fascinating for a psychologist or something to watch a ton of their content over the years and analyze it. My guess is it’s just another step away from the internalized homophobia they grew up with. It’s a whole lot quicker and easier to be outwardly accepting and fine with things, but it can take a long time to figure all that out internally. Whether they are/were actually attracted to each other, I would bet a lot of money that there was talk about their friendship in the past. I hope that now it’s mostly harmless, but you know there were whispers when they were younger that may have really affected them. They’re adults now and they’re comfortable in who they are and their friendship, so it’s so nice to see that they’re getting more comfortable talking about sleepovers and flirting on camera. We love to see it!
