I think I’ve listened to this like 3,000 times in the last 3 years
Newcomer Mallrat has me doing cartwheels with Inside Voices, a fizzy electronic pop song produced by fellow Australians Casper Zazz and Tigerilla. Inside Voices is an effervescent frisky emulsion of nimble electronica and cheeky pop. Inside Voices is incredibly hooking, its dance ready buoyancy much elegant and sleek. The song’s springy crisp soundscape reminds me of Flight Facilities and Clean Bandit, and Mallrat’s voice is spellbinding, in a very dulcet sweet manner.

This is one of those songs, that you silently put on, and just scan the room, and you watch people suddenly perk up, and you see the hands start tapping away, the heads start to bob on beat. Vance Joy, loved on his own, gets a rework like no other. A simple drum beat, leads up to something magical as it htis the chorus drop. This is one that has been blasted in many Ubers, and it’s always well received.

It’s been some time now since we’ve encountered any Vance Joy remixes. His folksy pop and rock certainly generated its fair share of them last year. But wait, what have we here? The Australian singer songwriter’s infectious song, Mess Is Mine, has received a scintillating reboot by Australian producers Casper Zazz and Droptail! Their finely crafted remix balances the original’s touching beauty with the shimmers and snares of thrilling future bass. It’s a vivid and exhilarating remix, and it’s also a free download, here.
