Oh boy oh boy, I thought I disliked the cassarian ship when I was a minor. Now that I'm 21 it makes me even sicker, omg lol. I'm a Cass kinnie and the idea of her getting with a 14 year old at 22. Shudders and I think it's more of a grey area I guess if you make them older and varian is 18+ but it still just smells like grooming to me. Irl if any 18 year old told me they were getting with a 26 year old who had been their friend since they were 14 I'd tell them to RUN. I just like, a college grad with a high school freshman. Bleccchhh. That being said Cass and Varian are the CUTEST damn pair of friends ever and are besties for life. He definitely is still the only person w the Cassie pass. I explore their friendship when Varian is older and Cass returns home to Corona after her time on the road in my fanfic and they are just SO adorable
I just saw a tik tok listing all the crimes Cass and Varian committed and Cass’s list was more than twice as long as Varian’s yet she, an adult who was fighting for no one but herself, got no jail time, while Varian, a child who only did those things because he needed to save his father and no one was listening to him, was in jail for we don’t even know how long.
