Ten months ago Kaidan refused to put Shepard's name on the memorial wall. Lost in space the crew of the Normandy needed something to believe in even if he couldn't. Now they are finally returning to Earth to find Shepard is indeed very much alive. Suddenly faced with the prospect of a future together, Shepard and Kaidan all but forget to tell their friends about their relationship – until the decision is taken out of their hands.

I don’t venture into the fshenko ship very often but I absolutely love this little gem by @bioticblackops, as well as its sequel The Accidental Proposal. They make me laugh every time I think about them, brilliant writing and the best reading if you need a little cheer-me-up.

8) Is there some fundamental quality to them? Are they brave, clever, intelligent?  

If there is one word to describe Cassandra Maria Shepard, it’s “reckless.” Went streaking in the pools behind the Krogan Memorial? Check. Wiped out pirates at the expense of her own men? Check. When she wants something, she goes for it, no questions asked.

11) What type of life do they live? Is it one that will get them somewhere good? Or even somewhere at all?

I worry about this lady sometimes. She often acts like she’s invincible, and one day that’s going to catch up with her. (In a way it already did with the Collector Ship and all, but clearly she hasn’t learned her lesson yet.)

19)  Are they alarmed at how fast humans are advancing in galactic society?

Not at all. She doesn’t see as many humans in an Asari colony, so when she does run across one, she makes a point of introducing herself. Honestly, she finds human thinking, the way they seize the day as if it might be their last, kind of refreshing. She hopes humans might expand further, honestly.

23)  Do they think vorcha are just animals?

Oo, this is a tricky one. She was taught that they were animals, that it was better to take orphans from their homes and train them from childhood. But after meeting some activists, and later talking to actual vorcha, Dreya feels conflicted about her upbringing. Her mind is turning more in favor of seeing them as sentient, intelligent beings, just with different culture.
