“You cannot possibly be serious!”
Cassian looked up as he saw Dorian striding toward him. He was holding the leather-bound book with two fingers as if it had personally offended him. “Didn’t like it then?”
“How on earth could you find this entertaining?” Dorian asked and practically threw the book at Cassian.
“What about the mystery?” Cassian asked.
“I’d solved in before they finished explaining it,” Dorian said.
“The setting?”
“Ah, Ferelden during the Blighs,” Dorian said. “How original.”
‘But the romance?” Cassian smiled at him.
Dorian hesitated. “I suppose it wasn’t horrible, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of creativity with the rest of the book.”
“I suppose we’ve found something else we disagree on,” Cassian said.
Dorian bit his lip. “We’re developing quite the list.”
“Couples who agree on everything are boring anyway.” Cassian leaned over to kiss Dorian’s cheek quickly.
“In that case,” Dorian said as he produced a book seemingly out of nowhere. “I read that horrible monstrosity for you. The least you can do is read this extraordinarily better book for me.”
“Fair is fair.”
