I recently went down the rabbit hole of Australian soaps because the whumpy episodes never end. I figured I’d share some of the whump for characters I enjoyed. I will be adding other characters and whumpy episodes to this post. I will probably create other posts for different shows so that one post won’t become overly long.

Ned Willis
Ep 7338: hand injury. Loses family members (grief).
Ep 7339: hand still wrapped up. Emotional family reunion.
Ep 7868: (returns to the show after over a year) Punched in the face, black eye. Lies about the incident.
Ep 7924: tired, falls asleep in a sauna. (My personal side note: it was cute to see the temperature in the sauna was like 38C before he raised it to ~50C. We usually have it around 80-90C.)
Ep 7925: found asleep in a sauna. Hyperthermia, taken to hospital. Feeling weak.
Ep 8217: hit by a motorcycle when saving a friend.
Ep 8218: Goes to hospital reluctantly. Dislocated shoulder. (Aftercare in 8222, 1st half of 8223)
Ep 8223: held at knifepoint by crazy lover. Stabbed in the stomach.
Ep 8224: running away, weak from blood loss, unconscious, rescue. Wakes up in hospital after having a nightmare, comforted.
Ep 8228,8229,8230: recovering from the stabbing. Develops ptsd (triggered by blood, knives, memories about the stabber), has nightmares about the stabbing, accidentally hits his ex girlfriend when he has a nightmare.
Ep 8235: starts fighting illegally in an underground club. Has flashbacks about the stabber while fighting.
Ep 8236: Bruised torso and knuckles, feeling sore. Has a flashback about the stabbing triggered by a knife.
Ep 8239: worried friends, mentions of his stab wound, flashback triggered by a knife, upset, breaks a glass. Illegal fight.
Ep 8240: looking tired at work, bruised knuckles, worried friends. Another illegal fight. A friend, Aaron, sees him fight. Almost beats his opponent to death until Aaron stops him.
Ep 8241: Confused after the fight but won’t go to hospital. Tending to his bruises. Other friends see his bruises, Ned lies about them. Mentions of his stabbing. Refuses professional help.
Ep 8246: counseling session, flashback triggered by seeing David’s (see below) bloody bandages. Almost forced to fight illegally.
Ep 8247: more people find out about his fighting. Teary eyes, emotional conversation. People from the fight club start threatening him.
Ep 8465: memories of the stabbing. Wakes up in his car with a terrible headache. Has a head wound, trouble remembering.
Ep 8470: flashback triggered by knife, another flashback. Starts to think he killed his crazy ex lover.
Ep 8471: Goes to a specialist to try and recover missing memories. Has flashbacks.
Ep 8472: in jail, arrested for murder, handcuffed.
Ep 8480: another session with a specialist to recover memories. talks about the fact that he has ptsd.
David Tatanka
Ep 8243: hit by a car while cycling, unconscious.
Ep 8244: in hospital, damaged kidney and internal bleeding, surgery. Loses a kidney. Cardiac arrest, CPR.
Ep 8245: CPR. Regains consciousness. Needs a kidney transplant.
Ep 8251: in hospital. Goes to a wedding in a wheelchair, pale and lightheaded.
Ep 8252: hospital, infection, feeling unwell.
Ep 8253: antibiotics for the infection aren’t working. Can’t go back on dialysis. Receives bad new about his kidney transplant. Feeling unwell.
Ep 8260: still in hospital feeling unwell. His condition worsens.
Ep 8261: in hospital. Receives good news about kidney transplant.
Ep 8262: in hospital, prepped for surgery, sedated.
Ep 8263-8264: unconscious in hospital. Wakes up, weak. Cardiac arrest, unconscious. Weak, losing hope. Finally has the transplant surgery.
Ep 8267-8268: in hospital, recovering.
Cassius Grady
Ep 7956: attacked in prison. Has surgery.
Episodes with Cassius in hospital: 7956, 7956, 7958, 7961, 7962, 7966 and 7967. 7967 is his final episode as of November 2020.

Background: faked his death and returns after two-ish years.
Ep 7447: stabbed in the stomach
