International Tribe: Cassius Select by Worldwide FM International Tribe is a weekly mix series hosted by Thris Tian. This week’s International Tribe mix comes from Cassius Select. Originally coming from Toronto, Cassius select is the alias of the Sydney-based producer Lavurn Lee. Creating his name through carving releases on Australian labels such as Hunter Gatherer, Plastic World and Dj Haus’ Unknown To The Unknown, Cassius Select lives in the undefined sonic boroughs of the hardcore continuum. Blending the styles and sounds of techno, grime, dancehall, hardcore and many more, the Toronto native is hell bent on inciting movement in the most unorthodox ways. With such an eclectic form of creation, the producer has also released on Mathew Herbert’s label Accidental Jnr and the established imprint Hypercolour.
