it may have started out as a joke but now I'm serious, Cassian/Kleya fascinates me. it'd be a volatile, unhealthy relationship. they understand each other, but they're also so similar that they hate each other because they hate themselves. they always put the cause first. are they in love? probably not but there IS love there, a familiar comfort that grows over the years. someone to check in with, someone to take the edge off every now and then. someone they don't have to pretend with, and someone who doesn't ask for more than they can give. it's not romance, they don't have time for romance. but there's an understanding, and it's more than two lonely people can ask for. more than they deserve.

in the end he's forced to either betray her or leave her behind. for the good of the rebellion. but she gets it. she'd have done the same.

omg i'm so glad someone agrees!! they kinda had me giggling kicking my feet when he was adamant that he wouldn't leave her and when she was passed out from the stun and he literally laid over her so she wouldn't get shot!! also her grabbing his jacket and shouting at him like we know he likes his women feisty (see small but fierce Jyn) and even in previous episodes where she was so fucking fed up of him being like "i'm out" she was like you just witnessed another massacre lock in and shut up bitch like exactly queen!!!

also yeah i completely agree with you on the timeline thing like i really think a big part of the problem was how close they had a lot of it take place in relation to rogue one.

Melshian really did clear like as soon as cassian was on the move melshi was READY no questions asked, that's a real one!!!

exactly EXACTLYYYYYY. you get it!! she challenges him, and I think he likes that. I was into them from the moment I saw her grab his jacket in the trailer, and they called me a fool. but I'm right!! I didn't imagine they'd actually give me so many delicious crumbs but like you said, Cassian insisting he's not leaving her behind and even protecting her with his body was so good <3 they could have such a fascinating dynamic imo

1. What made you ship it? that 0.2 seconds long moment in the trailer when she grabs him by the shirt. hot

2. What are your favorite things about the ship? I think they're both sooooo fucked up in a very similar way. that's compelling. I've talked about before about how I don't even necessarily see this relationships as romantic, whenever I think about writing them, I always picture it as a sort of understanding. a comfort. familiarity. someone whose goals and world view perfectly align with yours - you know they'd sacrifice you for the cause if they had to, and that's a comfort

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? this ship is just me and maybe 2 other people so no, I don't think we have any unpopular opinions here 😭
