End of the Year
I finally finished my first yer at the academy. Looking back I now realize that it was basically an initiate year. None of the work I've done will probably represent what I'll be able to do in the future. But I see how necessary it was. They really pushed me to keep working on the final cast drawing even after I thought it was done and I'm guess I'm glad I did. It turned out nice and I started to touch on what i will be working on next year, which is form drawing. The past year was almost entirely focused on optical drawing, observing the shapes and angles in life and keying the values from what is seen. Now I will study construction and form drawing, reconstructing form on the paper/canvas. I still feel like there is so much more to learn and so much missing from my skill, so let's hope this is only the beginning.
Here’s the page o the week !
