Yesterday at work I was on my lunch break and exclaimed to my friend "I have no clue what I'm doing!" The Mad Hatter happened to be walking by and yelled "I never know what I'm doing!!"

So tonight I had a guest almost make me cry.

I’m up at the podium waiting for guests to arrive to check in for their reservations. I had a guest take his daughters to the bathroom and wait for them. He came up to the podium and started talking to me on how I was the perfect fit for the job I work, and how I have the ideal personality for it. He then began to tell me how I was going to be extremely successful in whatever I choose to do. He had been watching how I was addressing and welcoming every guest who walked into the door, made excellent eye contact, and was just continuing to point out things that I was doing that would make me successful in my life.  I honestly needed someone to tell me that because I have been going through some things recently and I really needed to hear exactly what he told me.  A complete stranger took notice in how hard I work and saw potential in me that I don’t see in myself. I will never forget that someone who I have only spoken to once saw the things he saw in me. 

As he left, I let him know how thankful I was for what he told me and how much I really needed to hear that. Thank you so much to the guest that told me the things he told me tonight.

Exactly one year ago I became a Disney Store cast member. :) 

I started as a seasonal cast member and they kept me as part time. 

I've had numerous ups and downs. Those magical moments I am able to experience with the guests make everything worthwhile.
