January Castiel Writing Challenge

Welcome to the January (and first!) Castiel Writing Challenge. This challenge is open to all writers! This challenge’s theme is wintery holiday; you can expect prompts like snow, resolutions, etc.

Send an ask to the Castiel Writing Challenge blog saying “I wish to participate in the challenge as a {challenger} or {collaborator}”.

Consider tracking the tag, “castielwritingchallenge” and following the challenge blog.

Enter until December 29th.

{WRITING GUIDELINES}

There is no word limit - however, there is a 1k minimum for this challenge.

You are free to interpret the prompt in any way you want!

Your fic must feature Castiel as a main character.

You can write about any ship or pairing OR no ship at all - general fics are welcome, too!

Background ships are fine as well, so long as Cas is a main character.

There is no ruling on smut or triggering topics. Just make sure to tag ships and any trigger warnings appropriately when you post.

Must post your writing submission by January 31st!

{WHAT NEXT?}

Once the entry period is over, we will randomly place entrants into pairs.

Depending on how many challengers vs collaborators, you may end up with up to two partners.

You will receive an ask detailing your prompt and partner(s).

Make sure to tag “castielwritingchallenge” and the name of your partner within the first five tags.

Make sure to also tag any trigger warnings and pairings.

It is important that you format your post properly. You can find out how to do that here.

Your piece of writing will be reblogged to the challenge blog.

This is not a competition. It was made to show your love for Castiel!
