The weather was definitely getting colder, and even with all his layers he may have been sitting there shivering as he tried to warm himself up again from the outdoors. The cold was a nightmare for him with the way it seemed to make the pain that would flare in his legs feel so much worth when he got a chill like this.

Thankfully, he was able to take this moment to sit and rest, to catch his breath, in no hurry to go anywhere.

But still even as he had sat there shivering, he hadn’t expected someone else to take notice, jumping lightly when he feels something draped over his shoulders until he looks back to see that it came from a person, blinking as he pulls the added layer further around himself.

“You— um. Surprised me! Haha.” Oh, he feels like he’s being so awkward right now. “But I do appreciate it, ah… … … sorry, what can I call you?”

It would be nice to put a name to the face of someone who would go to the trouble of doing something nice for him despite them being strangers to each other, after all.

The image of his friend broken down into nothing is still fresh on his mind. The way his friend’s body shuddered, trembled like an earthquake and the way his broken sobs and cries filled the night sky. The splinters digging into nails, how his soul shattered upon the force of his own turmoil. Sun couldn’t shake any of it off. It hurt. 

It hurt a lot and it hurt to remember that face. The unknown man who’d call Sun Sun Wukong. He had said nothing, but the pain in those eyes. It’s not something he’s forgotten either. WHY. He questions. WHY did he look at him with those eyes. As if Sun’s words hurt deep. 

I don’t know you. Sun remembers saying that to him and his EXPRESSION left Sun speechless. Surprised. 

Sun don’t leave me, please. 

I don’t want to be alone

They want to hurt me

.....

I died.

He killed me...

he killed me...

he killed....

me....

And before Sun has even realized, he smashes a fist onto the ground, creating a small crack against cement. His fist bleeds and his body trembles from sheer rage.

     it’s been...somewhat comforting to find familiar faces among the crowds here. while she is worried as to just WHY some Servants have been summoned here -- as well as being taken here herself -- there is relief at seeing that they are okay and NOT hostile towards her. it’s good to have allies here, especially after Avenger’s warning that this place was not as idyllic as it seemed upon first glance. 

               plus, what place has a giant hole in the center of the city that everyone just...ignores?

       either way, caution is still at the forefront of her mind. at least until she spots a very familiar person among the ever moving crowds in Little Tokyo. at first, she’s skeptical as feet pause, head tilting as she rubs her eyes to make sure she isn’t just seeing things. but she isn’t, as the figure is still there. instantly does Ritsuka light up, lips pulling into a wide smile. one arm shoots in the air to frantically wave as she shouts their name, no doubt attracting the attention of many passerby’s-- but she doesn’t really care too much.

As he meanders aimlessly conducts renaissance, Hawke quickly becomes apprised of one essential fact about his new surroundings: people here are weird. For one thing, nobody's tried to mug him or pick his pocket even once since he got here, which he finds oddly disappointing. He'd gotten so accustomed to Kirkwall's general ambiance of criminality that he almost misses it now that it's gone.

More disturbingly, all the street smarts he'd nurtured in Kirkwall are completely useless to him now. Back there, he'd been able to tell at a glance whether someone was rich or poor, local or foreign, civilian or criminal. Here, the locals are all equally alien. The only thing he can discern is that a few of the people he passes by are like him, poor sods who were minding their own business Maker-knows-where only to get snatched up by forces unseen. Some of them make their predicament clear with their bewildered expressions, while others stand out from the crowd thanks to their outlandish appearances.

As he walks, he spots someone who most definitely falls into the latter category—a fair-haired adolescent girl in strange armor, lugging around a shield that's nearly as big as she is. Ever the gentleman, Hawke decides he ought to offer his assistance on the off chance that she's as lost he is. If not, maybe he could at least get some directions. Or help carry that massive chunk of metal. (Hopefully not too far, though. Maker, that thing looks hea-vy.)

“Excuse me...” He falters, unsure what term of address would be proper. Do they confer knighthood onto teenage girls where she's from? Maybe. Probably. “...serah. I don't suppose you need any help with that accessory of yours?” He nods at the shield.
