Beyond the NLS, Scotland has various libraries within the country. There’s over twenty public libraries in Edinburgh alone. Stopped by Castlerigg Stone Circle at the weekend - always enjoy the life-enhancing vibe there and dramatic views of Lakeland fells including bold Skiddaw. I took off my sunglasses to take a selfie and when I got back to the car, discovered I’d lost them. I retraced my steps back into the Circle and saw a little pile of objects in the middle, next to a couple lying on their backs, holding hands, gazing up at the sky. It was my sunglasses, carefully placed on top of some twigs and flowers. The guy turned to me and whispered, “We put them there as an offering …” and turned back to looking at the sky.
