15-year-old Brynn woke up very disoriented. First she could only see out of one eye, then she could only see out of the other, and then her eyes closed without her even realizing in an attempt to get her to fall back asleep, but she wanted to figure something out before she went back to sleep. She opened both her eyes, and the dim light that came in through the window seemed to blind her. Then she realized something. Her bed wasn’t facing her window. She wasn’t in her room. “..What the fuck..?” she asked herself quietly, only then realizing the killer headache that she had gotten herself. She tried to look around and finally got her eyes to adjust to the light and while the room wasn’t hers it was familiar. Just then, 19-year-old Cas came strolling in, humming a cheery toon as he held a glass of water in his hand among other things, “Morning Millie,” he said to her. Brynn groaned, “Am I dying or am I dead? I can’t tell.” she said, covering her eyes with her arms. She heard him chuckle, “Neither, you just discovered underage drinking. It’ll get better I promise.” He placed the glass of water on the bedside table next to her. “Getting a call from a drunk, crying Brynn was not something I was expecting at 2 in the morning last night. You asked me to come pick you up because you didn’t want to get in trouble with your parents. If it was anyone else I wouldn’t have come. But I found you, got you into my car and you knocked out almost immediately so I brought you up here. Come on, drink some water.” Brynn slowly reached for the glass and brought it to her lips, drinking a few gulps before setting it back down. She smiled slightly at her friend, “Well, I don’t remember it but thank you, Cas.” Cas smiled back, “Any time, Princess.” He leaned over and kissed the top of her head, “Now get some more rest, Skipper. I’ll be downstairs if you need me.”
