Sometimes living alone in your thirties means roller-skating (in your childhood skates you haven’t worn for 15+ years) through your still-unfurnished living room, because in the four months you’ve had the place, you were away at the Olympics for circa two of them, holding the one cat without a brain cell in your arms while attempting not to crash into the brand-new, very cool tv that looks like a blackboard, nor the old-ass stained-glass window you accidentally stole from a historical building years ago and now keep using as a to-do list and sketchbook with liquid chalk markers. The other three cats are staring at you, horrified, like you’ve brought a man home. Meanwhile the audiobook of Project Hail Mary is playing in the background, mostly because the inner monologue of a teacher is perfect and, apparently, you miss being in education a little...

I was considering this as a chronic pain sufferer and I barely have energy to do most things and I consider my cats as family and emotional support, thankfully I saw this before it took one of my cats.
