I wanted to share it with you at the workshop so you can see it.
And I'm doing other art compos in the process, so I'll share with you a slice of it.
Also, I'm doing a little update: I'm doing a project with other professionals in the industry. It's a great opportunity for me! And I'm doing cool artwork. And yet I can't share it with you right now, but once it's out, you'll see all the development that I've been doing.
Also, I'm still waiting for the driving license. Here in Spain takes ages to get the test which sucks.
“Chat Noir, I’m about to transform back!” Ladybug warned her partner. She had yet to use her lucky charm, but couldn’t get an opening.
“Then let’s end this!” Chat Noir replied. “Cataclysm!” His hand began to glow with energy. He leapt into the air, using his bo staff as a propeller, as he jumped onto the sentimonster’s nose, putting his staff in the mouth, wedging it open. Ladybug ran over, landing next to Chat Noir and pulling out the ‘lucky charm’ fishing rod. The hook descended further into the creature’s throat. “I can’t believe it decided to eat where the amok is.” Chat Noir mused.
Ladybug didn’t respond. She was too focused on getting the object with the amok out before Chat Noir saw her secret identity. She reeled back the fishing line, revealing a baseball cap on the end of the hook. “Chat Noir!” She called. Her partner reached forward, turning the hat into ashes, the blue feather floating away. “No more evil doing for you, little amok. Time to de-evilize!” Ladybug opened her yo-yo, grabbing the feather. “Gotcha! Bye bye, little feather.” She spoke as she watched the now pure feather fly away. The sentimonster below them began to disappear, making them stumble. They quickly leapt to the roof of a nearby building. Ladybug took ahold of the fishing rod and threw it into the air. “Miraculous Ladybug!!”
They watched as tiny ladybugs flew over everything, returning things to how they were before the amok. Ladybug jumped down and grabbed the hat, returning it to the boy. “What happened?” She asked softly, leaning down to his level. The boy crossed his arms.
“My mom didn’t let me get the new ultimate-mecha-strike toy.” He grumbled. “I guess I got a little mad.”
“In the future, your parents know what’s best for you. They have reasons for doing things.” Ladybug informed. Her earrings started beeping again. She stood up straight, a look of alarm on her face. “Well, I gotta go. Bug out!” She saluted, going back to the roof where Chat Noir still stood.
“I never knew you were so good with kids, milady.” Chat Noir smirked. Ladybug rolled her eyes.
“Just pound it. I’m about to transform back.” She told him, holding out her fist. Chat Noir smiled softly, fist-pumping her softly. “See you later, Chat.” She spoke. She pulled out her yo-yo and threw it, latching it around another roof. She pulled the string, where it launched her into the air. But while she was in the air, her earrings flashed again, and her costume vanished, along with her yo-yo. She let out a yell as she tumbled to the rooftop.
Chat Noir’s eyes widened. “Ladybug!” He shouted. He used his bo-staff as a launcher, and threw himself into the air, catching her as she fell. As soon as they landed back on the roof, he closed his eyes, trying to avoid seeing more than he already did. He was on one knee, while Ladybug, now Marinette, sat on his other leg.
“Did you see?” She asked. Chat Noir debated about lying to her, but he’d never want to do that to her. He paused, not wanting to admit it. “Chat Noir, did you see?”
“A little.” He admitted, his eyes still closed. The look of alarm on Marinette’s face was very apparent, but not that he could see.
“How much is a little?” She asked, her voice wavering.
“Um. Enough.” He answered honestly. Marinette groaned.
“This is terrible.” She spoke, standing and pacing on the roof. Chat Noir still had his eyes closed, knowing how she would feel about it. “I’ll have to leave the city, and Master Fu will have to find a new Ladybug.”
Chat Noir’s eyebrows shot up. “Then I won’t want to be Chat Noir.” He spoke. Marinette turned.
“Chat, you can’t give up simply because I’m not here.”
“On the contrary, milady.” He began, standing, his eyes still closed. “When I save the world with you, it’s like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. It wouldn’t be any fun without you.” He held up his hands in surrender. “Not that I don’t enjoy saving people, but if I have to do it without you, I won’t.” He said, his voice firm. “Plagg, claws in.”
Marinette’s eyes widened. She couldn’t do anything. She didn’t have enough time to respond in any way. Before her stood Adrien Agreste, his eyes still closed and his kwamii next to him. “Adrien!?” She exclaimed, her eyes wide. “Why’d you do that!?”
“It was only fair.” He explained easily with a shrug. Marinette, upon seeing Plagg, reached into her purse and gave Tikki a macaroon, seeing the poor thing was probably starving. Marinette placed her hand on her head. Her face was flushed red as she was trying to figure out how Chat Noir and Adrien Agreste could possibly be the same person. Adrien, upon noticing the girl’s silence, spoke up, his eyes still closed. “Milady?” He asked.
Marinette looked up at him. “I’m still here.” She let out a small chuckle. “I guess you can open your eyes, now.”
“Are you sure? I know how you feel about it.”
“Adr- Chat No-” Marinette shook her head. “You already know, anyway. I’m seeing you, too. Just……try not to be too disappointed.”
Adrien opened his eyes, seeing a very red-in-the-face Marinette before him. He laughed lightly. “I should have seen it sooner.”
Marinette looked up at him suddenly, having been looking at her feet. “What do you mean? I wasn’t bad at hiding it!” She exclaimed, slightly offended. Adrien took a few steps toward her.
“Thinking back on it, it makes sense. How you always tried to help people, you were always kind, and you always tried to do the right thing.”
Marinette frowned. “Well, not always. I’ve been selfish before.” She confessed, twiddling her thumbs, avoiding eye contact.
“But you always corrected it.” Adrien reminded. “It’s really no surprise that I fell in love with Ladybug. But I was so caught up with her, that I didn’t see you. I mean, really see you.”
Marinette flushed red. “You……love me?”
Adrien smiled softly. “I’d have to be a fool not to.”
“But, Kagami-”
“Can’t compare.” Adrien argued. “Besides, I thought you liked Luka.”
“I-uh.” She took a deep breath, looking away again. “I was so frustrated with you never being around, and you always saying that I was only a ‘good friend’ to you.” She chewed on her bottom lip. Her eyebrows suddenly bent down and her eyes narrowed as she looked back at him. “And that’s how I knew Lila was lying. Because I am Ladybug.” Her face softened then, and her voice got quieter. “Or I was. Master Fu will have to get new heroes, now.”
“Not necessarily. Hawkmoth only targeted Chloe because she announced it, which is how he found out about it. If we don’t tell anyone, only the six of us will know.”
“Six?”
“Us, Master Fu, and our Kwamii’s.” He clarified. Marinette pursed her lips.
“I guess.” She agreed. She paused, looking up at him. “I still can’t believe you’re Chat Noir.” She admitted, her tone less than amused. Adrien shrugged innocently, rubbing the back of his neck.
“My father always taught me to be proper, and I was always cooped up. Being Chat Noir gave me some freedom.” He explained. “Plagg was always there for me, and it made it better, but it wasn’t quite the same.” He informed, gesturing at his kwamii. Marinette’s bright blue eyes swapped from Adrien to Plagg, and back again.
“I knew that being in the house all the time bothered you, but I didn’t think it was as bad as that.” She admitted, looking down. Adrien shrugged.
“It’s not too terrible. I get through it.” He dismissed. A silence settled between them for a few moments until Adrien spoke again. “We should probably get off the roof.” He voiced. Marinette laughed, not expecting the comment.
“Yeah. Probably.” She agreed. Marinette looked around, making sure that no one else could see her. “Tikki, spots on!”
Tikki became sucked into Marinette’s earrings, turning her into Ladybug. Adrien stared, slightly dumbfounded with a grin on his face. “This is so crazy.” He repeated.
“It’s weird, yes.” Ladybug agreed.
“Plagg, claws out!”
Plagg got sucked into Adrien’s ring, transforming him into Chat Noir. Ladybug crossed her arms.
“No wonder I never figured it out.” She mused. Chat Noir winked at her, causing her to roll her eyes playfully. “I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” She told him, jumping off the roof and swinging out of sight. Chat Noir watched her leave, a strange, but good feeling settling over him. He smiled softly to himself as he made his way home, de-transforming once inside.
“I can’t believe I knew who Ladybug was all this time.” He told Plagg. “I’m surprised I didn’t see it before.” He repeated himself from earlier. Plagg shrugged.
“You were so distracted by Ladybug, you didn’t notice the person behind the mask.” The kwamii paused briefly. “Now where’s some cheese? I’m starving.”
