At one time the very people who scorned regular American kitchens and foyers lounged, skin bear but always veiled by their lives of luxury, aside a Kitsch-Cat Klock carved in cement at the tail-tip of the nation. “Help me” — flattened eyes watching jets pass overhead as gleaming, sun-kissed vacationers puncture its skin-less surface: an open wound to immersion in the dream.

Slim

A word that has many meanings to me.

It was my chosen "cowboy" name in the 1st grade when our class operated as an old western town for a few months (which was probably only, like, 2 days in real time).

It is a crucial component in a series of commercials starring Randy Savage that will forever be ingrained into my brain - Snap Into a Slim Jim.

It is a word to describe my chances of doing any of the activities in the following photos before summers end (or ever).

It is the name of the photographer that made me realize my summer has been just that, slim.
