Wishlist for my garden so the dogs stop nearly killing the roaming neighborhood cats who never seem to get the message to stay the heck out.

I’d say I wish they’d keep their cats inside/contained, but barely anyone in NZ does. It’s a cultural thing and seen as cruel to keep a cat confined by many, despite the huge threat they pose to our native wildlife.

So my boyfriend and I are fixing up his house to sell in a few years. I want to build a fence, so I can start a garden, the dog can run around, and for a private place outside. He thinks it’s unneighborly, and the neighborhood cats would get past a fence. So I googled “cat proof fences” and was not disappointed.
