cat fans who follow me might like to know there’s a turf war going on between three cats in my neighbourhood. the other night I was woken up at like - 4 am - by some really aggressive meowing and they were in a full on standoff situation on my doorstep. large soft mysterious black cat was squatting on next door’s patch of pavement which is defs not his territory, having driven off scrappy scarred ADHD grey cat (i root for him generally), who was tensely poised a few steps away. and nervous tortoiseshell (never sure what team he’s on) was hiding under a car. I managed to break it up but it took a really long time.
