y'all can someone help me find a very specific fanart of jaskier from twn 😭 it was posted right here on tumblr

it was jaskier as a cat witcher, wielding two blades. i think OP said something about his armor needing to look fashionable because even if it was a witcher, it was still jaskier. i think the colour blue was used a lot in the fanart. does anyone know where i can find it 😭

I need to scream about Cat Witcher Jaskier AU.

Once upon a time after The Mountain, Jaskier fell into the hands of a sorcerer fucking with Witcher mutagens. He experimented on Jaskier, and when he thought he failed, left him in a ditch. Jaskier wandered aimlessly, barely alive and unfamiliar with his new body, until Geralt found him. He took him to Kaer Morhen, where they figured out that he had been pumped full of Cat Witcher mutagen. Aiden, who was wintering with Lambert and found him cute, started to train him.

In this AU, Jaskier’s heart was shattered to pieces along with the remains of his old life. He didn’t know how to be Jaskier again, and he carried so much anger towards Geralt and the rest of the world for what had happened. But little by little Geralt helps him bloom again. It isn’t easy and he fucks up a lot. Eventually though they both realize what they mean to each other after Geralt almost dies taking down a fork tail.

I’ve written Geralt in a lot of different scenarios, but I can safely say this is the one where he is the most in love with Jaskier. And that is no small feat because I ALWAYS play these two together! In this au Geralt has learned so much about loss, love, and showing appreciation for those who may not be there tomorrow, he would do ANYTHING for Jaskier, and (much like canon) would do anything for his family.

@cowboybuttconnoisseur and I have a lot of drama planned but I just can’t wait for them to get married because THEY ARE SO IN LOOOOOOVE!!!!

Okay I’m done rambling now maybe one day I’ll write fanfic based on this lol.

After Aiden's death, Jaskier blames Lambert. He watched his brother leave with a wolf. The dog didn't even have the teeth to bite back at the killers. I feel like Jaskier would do something violent to retaliate. Songs about witchers left behind in a trail of blood.

Hopefully it would bring the wolves down from the mountains.

More thoughts under the cut!:

Jaskier is young, fresh out of witcher school. He’s essentially the same age as Jaskier in netflix canon when they met. 

Got mauled by an archgriffin almost immediately in his first year on the path, it’s where the scar on his face is from.

He was sold as a kid to the cats but he was already proficient at the lute when they got him, so training him out of it wasn’t gonna happen.

Cats are nomadic so it was easy for Jaskier to keep up with the ebb and flow of the music scene, and he never lost his love for it.

He tried running away once because he wanted to be a bard and an instructor took his finger when they got him back.

His relationship with Geralt is pretty much in tune with netflix canon lmao, Geralt just doesn’t have to worry as much (he still does tho)

He could have strung a lute to be left handed... but it won’t make a difference now :)
