psst if you’re an alex summers fan who is Disappointed in the way everyone has been writing him lately, and you also like queer ladies in comics,
please check out summit from lion forge’s catalyst prime line. val resnick is basically all of alex’s potential good qualities, plus she’s a bisexual woman who sacrificed her life to save the planet from a meteor strike.
plus she’s a plasma blaster, so, like. she’s like alex, but better in pretty much every conceivable way.
you can grab the first issue here and i super recommend it.
marvel is kind of trash, catprime isn’t, and i promise you will Love val.

Graphic Policy, Live Podcast! Catalyst Prime & Comics Diversity with Guests Christopher Priest & Joe Illidge
I’m pissed Black Panther and the Crew was cancelled. While we are right to agitate publishers for more comics with diverse creative teams and characters, we also NEED to be paying attention to the comics that are doing just that.
@lionforge comics is launching a brand new super hero universe helmed by creators of color and women. It’s heroes are people of color, multi-national, LBGTQ and the first ever super hero who has Downs Syndrome.
Tonight on the podcast we are interviewing the architects behind this new comics universe: Legendary Black Panther scribe Christopher Priest, EoC Joseph Illidge (formerly of DC), and rising star, editorial assistant Desire Rodriguez (aka @desiree-rodriguez).
These are super high quality comics and they are delivering on the vision we are demanding from the big two. Listen to the show, learn more and Buy, Buy, Buy.
