Please let me cook some more! 🤝 My favorite scenarios for catatonic/near-death Josh include:
The whole ordeal takes place the day before Felix's little fake wedding, so he forces begs Josh to power through the ceremony the next day (threatening his family to 'motivate' him) and it actually works. Josh may be bleeding internally or having a deadly fever, yet the wedding and party afterwards go pretty well, and Felix finally has the man he dreamed of... But when the guests leave and they are alone again Josh loses the fight against everything Felix unloaded onto him the previous night. He got the perfect husband he always wanted for a single day, but at what cost?
Catatonic!Josh won't react to any punishment or torture anymore so Felix has to actually be properly nice to him. An impossible task, I know.
A dead Josh freaks Kurtis out so badly (maybe they started to get along well) and he finally starts trying to get rid of Felix too.
Catatonic!Josh starts to get better but gets amnesia and actually falls for his "boyfriend" who takes such good care of him. Months go by and the lucky couple lives as normally as can be with Felix breathing down his darling's neck, but some day Josh finds a few photos/evidence of the horrors™ towards him and remembers every gruesome bit.

EEEE! I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT! ALL OF IT! 😱I love the tie-in with the mock-wedding! I can see Josh, dressed in his suit - sickly pale, cheeks gaunt, eyes dark and sunken in - and Felix is so set on having his perfect day and perfect husband, he doesn't care about how unwell Josh is. Probably puts it down to him faking ill to get out of the wedding.
Catatonic!Josh would be such a heart-breaking sight 💔 Felix would finally have the doll he's always wanted, that would bend to his every will - because Josh would be too out of it to process a single thing. He'd just be numb.
And also Kurtis & Josh do start to get along well in the story!!! It's a very fucky, up and down dynamic, but at times Kurtis is the closest thing that Josh has to a friend or an ally in his hell.
