AU where Hiro is a catboy, and until Tadashi finds him, homeless. Catpeople aren't treated very well in general, but when Tadashi finds Hiro in an alleyway his response is basically 'yes this is my new brother. I am going to take him home and give him food and cuddles and he will be my brother forever'. Hiro's very happy with his new home (and Tadashi's cuddles).

This is basically what he’d do with an actual cat, so naturally he’d do that with a catboy. Just “I shall call him little brother and he shall be mine and he shall be my little brother. Come on, little brother. Come on, little bro.”

And then Hiro hisses at him and scratches him. Because he was playing with Hiro’s ears and he dun like that. Whoops :P

Neko. Whoops, customer left Cass a bag of catnip as a gift at closing time. The boys find it while cleaning tables, and Cass finds them being high on catnip ten minutes later. Baymax is called in to care for them and get the catnip away (because no one wants to hurt Baymax).

Neko boys building one of those cat homes (the ones with multiple landings and crevices) in the basement and/or living room. They and Moochi will always be leaping and sleeping in it.

Aunt Cass confiscates the catnip ASAP because, y’know, DRUGS. The boys are pretty embarrassed once they sober up, and Aunt Cass has to pass on the nip to Honey Lemon to destroy so the boys don’t get fumes or something if she tries to burn it.

Their beds are actually bunk beds instead of regular beds, so they can have levels. But they’re prone to occassionally sleeping together in the same bed in a pile, with Mochi sitting on top of them and purring.

(You know what, I really need to make like a main story post for this AU, it’s clearly asking for it)

okay weve already entertained the idea of the nerd gang messing with the neko!boys with yarn, but imagine if aunt cass or one of the others got their hands on a laser pointer. just IMAGINE IT

Actually, funny you should mention laser pointers, I was JUST thinking about that the other day.

While both of the boys will chase the laser pointer, Hiro’s the one who falls for it more easily, and who enjoys it more. Tadashi’s been around too many blinking lights since starting at SFIT, so they’ve lost a bunch of the appeal to him (although first year was…yeah. Interesting). But if Hiro’s going after the red dot, sometimes Tadashi will join in for old time’s sake.

And then Mochi gets involved because EVEN MOCHI CANNOT RESIST THE LASER

Neko. Imagine if the boys had gone out and accidentally ended up in a craft store where yarn was on sale... This whole thing has become about the yarn, hasn't it? That one commenter is brilliant! :3

Oooh, I imagine that the boys are able to curb their instincts enough when they’re in public, seeing as it’s supposed to be a secret, that they’re able to act normally whenever they’re in a craft store in public. But Aunt Cass knows them well enough to know that if she’s with them and she DOESN’T buy them each a ball of yarn, they’ll pout for the rest of the day.

She may be asking Wasabi for knitting lessons soon just so she has something to do with ALL THE YARN SO MUCH YARN YOU BOYS HAVE A PROBLEM (at least she’s managed to keep them away from catnip)

Neko kid. Aunt Cass having a tip jar saying "yarn for cats fund." The customers think she's jokingly doing it for moochi, but she uses it to buy the boys yarn.

People get really into it when they see how happy it makes the boys, though once again they assume it’s because the boys want good things for Mochi. The Nerd Crew is snickering in the background every time someone puts money in

Neko kid. I just LOVE all of these head cannons. I'm going to add this: Aunt Cass has yarn balls in case she ever needs to stop the boys from doing something stupid. Also, I see that she's got the ear things down, but she prefers not to in public just because she doesn't want to reveal them. Oh, and catnaps. There would be catnaps. Like, the adorable brothers falling asleep on one another kind. Cass and Honey have photos. Lots of photos.

I think it’s become like group instinct that if the Hamadas are fighting or doing something stupid, someone goes and gets a yarn ball. Aunt Cass has kept the local knitting and craft store in business pretty much single handedly.

Headcannon time! As a prank once, Fred filled the Hamada personal/mini-lab with yarn balls and cat toys. Hiro and Tadashi arrive in the little lab, fighting about something, and they just stop when the door opens. No one sees them for hours after.

Their eyes do the thing that cat eyes do when they see prey. Maybe they even do the little butt wiggle. Neither of them will talk to Fred for a week, but Fred keeps a stash of cat toys and stuff in a room in the family mansion for future use.

Whenever Wasabi starts knitting, Tadashi just stands up and leaves the room. No explanation. Occasionally someone will find him in the hall muttering "Control yourself"

OMFG I'M DYING. Tadashi is the dignified one, tries to fight his instincts. Hiro just says 'to heck with it' and pounces on the ball of yarn. Naturally, Honey Lemon starts snapping photos. Wasabi sighs, and pulls out another ball of yarn so he can keep going.
