Hi! So I've been drawing using sai for about a year or so now, but I noticed that everything I draw, the line work looks good but I don't know how I can color it to make it look less--flat. Do you have ways of giving more life to my drawings? :/

It’s difficult to help without seeing exactly what you’re talking about, but sometimes flat looking color comes from not using dark enough shadows. It’s really easy to do that with cel shading and when one first starts painting digitally.

Maybe experiment with different ways of coloring on one image; make a simple line art and color it how you usually would, then on the same line art make a version with the shading darker, then make another version with higher saturated shading, etc..
