Woody, the splinter⠀ Status: Lost⠀ ⠀ In November of 2012, Handsome Husband jumped onto an old dock, his shoes in his hands instead of on his feet. He got a very large splinter. The immediate surgery proved unsuccessful. The splinter lived in his foot until the following July, when a second surgical procedure harvested the ¾ inch piece of wood that had slowly been coming to the surface and rendering him unable to walk. I named it Woody and taped it to my driver’s license to show it off and humble brag about my hubby.
