Ahhh thank you! I have absolutely nothing written for this except some messy notes, but this was one of my possible ideas for the Big Bang, and is basically just an excuse for 20-40k-ish of Cat King and Esther being Worst Frenemies Forever!

The basic premise, for those unfamiliar with the movie Death Becomes Her: Esther and Thomas, rivals 4 life. Some years ago Esther, an actress on the brink of her fall from glory, stole Thomas' husband Mick, a brilliant cosmetic surgeon. After a Rough Patch, Thomas is back, looking younger and more beautiful than ever and gunning to steal Mick right back. Esther's gonna have to resort to drastic measures, up to and including mysterious potions of eternal youth. Unfortunately, Thomas is onto the exact same trick; double unfortunately, neither of them read the fine print.

what if:

Port Townsend has two near-immortal beings, the witch Esther Finch and the Cat King. The Cat King only has nine lives, but that seems like a lot when he's on his first few. Hundreds of years pass and they're caught in a push and pull, back and forth irresistible magnetism that neither truly want to avoid. More time passes, and suddenly the Cat King is on his last life and not quite ready to die after all.

What's a kitty to do but ask the immortal witch, his on-again-off-again lover of centuries, for help?
