slightly older cathan with short hair! they'd HAVE to be older b/c short hair implies to me that they take the time to get it regularly cut and that's spending more time on themself than c4!cathan would. too busy fighting and training with some sleep and food squeezed in there and nothing else.

almost posted this without adding some white hairs in the mix and no, no, cathan started getting white hairs in their late 20s. that feels right.

i tried doing a bunch of different things with this but couldn't quite get them to work so just the base pic is fine i suppose. cathan waiting for a cleric of brutena to finish casting resurrection (unsuccessfully) after their Very Bad Day. actually this is about midway through their Very Bad Day, it just continues to be bad after this.

i have a mental image that keeps coming back of cathan and áedán sparring and áedán being cocky over getting some good hits in. cathan, who holds back when fighting him but who is also a big sibling whose little brother is talking shit, narrowing their eyes and then kicking áedán's ass. them teasing him but helping him up after wiping the floor with him and him just STEAMING but trying not to show it
