Am I the only one so totally heartbroken and heart wrenched thinking about Catherine ghee still??? She probably died thinking she was unloved, betrayed, a mistake in amethars eyes

once again going on my Catherine Ghee obsession. still genuinely disappointed that she ended up being just a woman who Amethar knew and Saccharina's mother.

personally, i like to think she was an eldritch being or a deity like the sugar plum fairy and Amethar was just too oblivious to realize it and thought vague threats was just how some dairy isle people speak.

just imagining Amethar asking her to marry him and her response being "we may but we can all wed by the moon light near the river with school-less fish and a false prophet."

And Amethar is like "cool, i'll do my best" and somehow fumbles into it.

Also, Catherine Ghee being a deity would work better as to why Saccharina is as powerful as she is. As well as fix that little off putting quirk to me that Saccharina is magical purely because of her Candian lineage.

We could also get some in depth to her and her feelings to Saccharina. Like, her becoming pregnant with Amethar's child forces her into the same ultimadom as Rose from Steven Universe where she and her child can not exist at the same time so she sacrifices herself so that Saccharina can exist. This theme could also tie in with how Saccharina could not exist at the same time as Jet.

yeah, that's just some word vomit for ya.

i just think it's overall disappointing that there is only three deities that is confirmed to be canon despite that a huge theme of ACOC is religious oppression and we know that there are different religious beliefs/practices through the lands.

Kinda don't like how people insist on calling Saccharina Saccharina Ghee or Saccharina Rocks, when 1) it's strongly implied that Catherine was either abusive or neglectful towards Saccharina (my money is that she abandoned Saccharina) and 2) the Rocks tried their very very very best to not accept Saccharina despite her being the only reason any of them lived
