Since it’s October, it’s Rosary Month! Allow me to give you some background as to why the Blessed Vigin Mary is closest to all Catholic saints and all the followers of Jesus in this video! Don’t forget to comment or make any suggestions, it will be greatly appreciated!
The Sign of the Cross is the most taken for granted prayer which is one of our Church’s most important treasures. I try to explain in my video the power it has and why we do it. It is a short prayer, yet it render the demons powerless. Please watch to know the reasons why we make the sign of the cross.
Prayer of Thomas Merton
“My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore will I trust you always, though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.”
-Thomas Merton
A Christ without a cross...is a man without a mission, but a cross without a Christ...is a burden without a reliever.
Venerable Fulton J. Sheen
“On the horizon we see shadows and dangers which worry humanity. As Christians we are called not to lose heart or be discouraged.”
- Pope Francis
Receiving communion on the hand and not even genuflecting is disrespectful to the Holy Eucharist. I even see some people put the sacred Host inside their bags and look back and forth if anyone saw them doing this. Indeed, receiving the sacred Host by hand makes it susceptible for several kinds of sacrilege.
Furthermore, I also remembered a priest in my parish become so pissed off when my sisters refused to receive communion by the hand, he forcefully placed the sacred host on their hands, while telling them they must take the communion on their hands instead of the mouth. What a gesture of irreverence, he thought the Mass was about him, rather than Christ. For Catholics reading this, please pray for such priests, parishioners have a choice on how they wanted to revere our Lord, he may not believe in respecting Christ, but he must give freedom to people who wants to do so.
May Christ be loved and adored as He truly deserves! Amen.
"Let the storm rage and the sky darken — not for that shall we be dismayed."
- Saint Pius X
