Summary: Captured on a mission to rescue Commander Cody, the Bad Batch, minus Echo, are subject to a Nightsister ritual that transforms them into human-cat hybrids. When Echo comes for them, they’re… different. They’re more cats than they are human, and he has no idea what it’ll mean for them. He doesn’t know if they can be fixed, and even if they can be, what it’ll mean for the future.

It takes his startled mind a second to process that it’s Hunter. Used to be Hunter? He’s naked, and he has a long tail that looks distinctly feline. He has dried blood smeared on his throat like it was cut, but Echo doesn’t see any injury. And he has feline ears on his head instead of human ears. What. The. Kriff?

Echo shoves his scomp arm against Hunter’s chest to push him back as he’s knocked onto the ground from the force of the jump. “Hunter. Hunter!”

He yowls. Actually yowls. Like a cat. Hunter claws at him, snarling, but he looks more excited than threatening if the way his ears are perked up is any indication. An answering meow answers him from two different directions, and filled with overwhelming dread, Echo turns his head. All three other Batchers are in the same state as Hunter.
