Hey, I don't know how this works, but can anyone suggest how to take a shy and anxious stray kitten to the vet? She's around 8 months old.

I bought a cat carrier and managed to put her inside but she whined and thrashed about so much that I got scared and let her out. I don't think I have it in me to take her like this, my heart is not strong enough. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to calm her down?

She does this at 6am on days when I don’t have to get up. She normally eats at 8am with no complaint.
