[ Warren shook his head in disbelief. He continued eating the delicious donuts to his heart’s content. He burned off a lot using his powers anyways, so he usually needed a lot of food stored up. Three wasn’t too bad anyways.

     -- “D’you ever think they just lie to sound cooler? The older the donut place the more people want it?” Warren asked, taking the last bite of his last donut. He reached for a napkin to wipe off his hands. ]

❝Well...❞ The way Max worded his question caused Vi's mien to shift to a bright, bright smile. So cute.  ❝It's more of an aesthetic choice on my end. Got my first piercing when I was, uh. Like, thirteen? Somewhere around there. I kept getting them as the time went by. I had most of them by the time we graduated. You know, now that I think about it, I've always done some mildly crazy shit with my appearance. All sorts of hair dye, piercings. I even had piercings on my ARMS for a couple of weeks. High school was wild. It was more of an emo, mall goth deal. I’ll probably take the plunge and get a septum piercing, one day. I dunno. Anyway! No special backstory. Just a kid that really wanted to look cool and express himself.❞

“O-Oh, uh, yeah, my name’s Marcus,” he confirmed nervously, knowing exactly who the other was. He was the one all the love songs on the radio used to remind him of, embarrassingly enough. He had never expressed his crush on the other, but it had been there all throughout his school years.

The fact that the other knew him well enough to recognize his face sent a flood of warmth through it. Did he say he remembered the other as well? What if he brought up when he’d gone missing?

Surely the school would have done more about his disappearance than his parents. What if he asked about it? It was weird that he moved out to the woods, he knew that. Surely he would want an explanation if he asked about it at all.
