H, I, S and V?
Thank you, dear 😊 As always, I rambled without being able to properly answer. Ooops.
H: How would you describe your style?
Honestly, I never fully understood what people mean by their writing style. Are there options to choose from? Let me know what my style is.
But if we’re going by vibe that I’m going for/emotions I want to induce with my stories, I’m going for a sort of rom-com feel with my multichapters. Also I guess I could say my writing is... simple? I’m not here for flowery descriptions and metaphors because I can’t write them and I have no need to try.
I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
This is a difficult question because calling something a guilty pleasure sort of implies the thing is not widely accepted as good and it’s something we should be ashamed for liking (even though we shouldn’t be ashamed of reading/writing whatever we enjoy) and I don’t wanna shame anyone. 😂 Something I used to consider a guilty pleasure because it’s often disliked, is stories involving amnesia. There is something interesting (yet sad) about watching a character fall in love with their partner all over again because they forgot. But it’s also something that’s very hit or miss so I understand why many people don’t like to read about that and I myself can be picky about it. Another obvious thing would be pure fluff. It’s not exactly a guilty pleasure because I don’t feel guilty but I’ve always felt like fluff is not as loved and appreciated as angst and it’s seen as something inferior. Not sure if it really is though 🤷♀️
S: Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
I’m a sucker for fake dating (my fake dating story has been in the works for far too long) and as far as reading goes, I’ve become quite fond of soulmates fics and I admire how writers come up with so many different versions of that trope. But I don’t know if I could ever write one of my own.
V: If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
This is a very interesting question because sometimes when I’m in the middle of reading a fic I’m really into and it’s not updating, I tend to imagine what happens next or rather what I would make happen next. I can’t think of a particular fic I’d want to continue but I think sometimes if a fic ends with Bughead finally getting together and then we don’t get to see much of them together (though I’ve done this myself, so I’m not blaming anyone) I think I could totally make up something more so we can see their relationship more. Or as anyone I’ve ever talked to would know, I’m a sucker for Bughead being married and having kids, so I’d write that sequel to most fics 😂
