just wanted to let you know from a viet sib how much i loved your thanh giong comic!! i've never seen art made of it, and it was one of my absolute favorite bedtime stories growing up. my mom always told me that he became powerful by eating a lot, and when my brother was little, he was a picky eater and used to only eat balled up rice and ruoc / cha bong, so he always associated the story with a feast of pork floss :) your comic was beautiful, and i hope your day goes well! ♥
haha thank you so much!! that story was fundamental to me growing up as well, because Gióng was in my middle school’s insignia, and we visited his temple a lot during those years, and retelling it was in some sense my way of finally “owning” it... it was a great story! I’m glad my small comic brought it to more people’s attention :)
