Ohhh nooo, I won't be able to finish my fic for CatxNed week by midnight. I've finished writing it, but I still haven't edited it or even read it through. But this means I also won't be able to submit my fic tomorrow since it is a continuation of this one, so I guess I'll be submitting two fics for fill day!!! Ohhh why doesn't my employer give me time off for CatxNed week, does he not understand how important it is!!!

Hi, is there a special tag we should tag catxned week stuff with? Because I'd like to post my graphics to my own blog, but still want them to be a part of the "official" catxned week

That’s not a problem at all. It would probably be best to just tag it (in the first five tags) with cat x ned week. But then you should send a message to this blog so that I know about it and tell me which day it belongs to. Doesn’t have to be complicated just that you posted something and that it belongs to Day 1 (or whichever day it belongs to).

Hey I've been wanting to do the cat x ned week challenge for a while now but I'm a bit confused, I know it's late notice to be asking but can I like just make an edit or idk I don't really know how tumblr works sorry whoops

Hi there, better late than never :D You can make any sort of fanwork you’d like. It can be a fic, an edit, a gif, fanart, a video. The only requirements are that it follows the theme of the week/day (this week the theme for each day are certain timelines + an AU day) and that it centers around Cat and Ned.

If you want to submit it for Cat x Ned week you submit it here, but the guidelines for how you submit stuff is here - if you want to submit a photo (edit or GIF) you follow the second instructions.

It should be pretty straight forward - but if you run into any trouble, please don’t hesitate to ask again and I’ll privately try and guide you through the steps. That’s what I’m here for.

Hope you don’t mind that I published this, but maybe some other people are confused as well. If you want me to take it down just let me know.

Hello, I want to submit fanworks for the Cat x Ned Week, but there are few things that I haven't understood: 1)Does rule 8 means that we can't submit a fanwork where Cat and/or Ned don't love each other and are interested in someone else (e.g. Cat and Baelish)? 2) Is it compulsory to respect the time period you give on the theme tagged page? 3) I haven't a Tumblr account and I would submit more likely fanarts, how can I proceed? Thank you in advance

Hello and thanks for taking interest in this little project :)To answer your questions I’m just going to take one question at a time.

1. Yes, Rule #8 essentially means that you can’t submit anything for Cat x Ned Week that is about another ship that either Cat or Ned are a part of - in the way that Cat x Ned are not endgame. Let’s use a bad metaphor since I love bad metaphors - so essentially if your ship is sailing from Liverpool (not together) to New York (together) and it stops on its way in Iceland (some other ship, like Brandon x Catelyn, Ashara x Ned, or Catelyn x Petyr, etc.), but still reaches New York (Cat x Ned together) it’s alright, but if it hits an iceberg (Cat x Ned never become a thing) on the way this isn’t really the site for that work and you should maybe check out the game of ships or up ship creek sites, but they are both open to all ships and all sorts of fanwork (there are probably a dozen more blogs but these were the first that came to my mind). The whole point of the week and this blog is to promote not only Catelyn and Ned as individuals, but more importantly as a collective unit.

PS: I know that the Day 1 era doesn’t really allow for any Cat x Ned stuff since it is before they met, but their youths are major parts of who they are so I didn’t want to exclude it. But even rule #8 still applies in a way that if it is a Brandon x Cat or Ashara x Ned story, this really isn’t the place for it since this is a Cat x Ned blog. I know it is not very clear, but I didn’t want to cut out their entire youth since it is more than half their lives so I hope everyone can find a way to work with it.

2. For this challenge the theme focuses on certain timelines (eras), so yes it is sort of important to follow them. That’s the point of the theme. But if it only loosely goes into another theme day then that’s fine and you submit it on the day it mostly follows. But if the work goes over many time periods, then maybe another challenge is more appropriate or perhaps an AU day if the framework doesn’t follow canon (for that day there are no time restrictions). But this is hopefully just the first of many challenges and next time there will be a different theme where time will not be a problem, but then something else will restrict the creative mind.

3. Alright, so if you want to submit a photo instead of text you go to the submit button and instead of text you pick photo. Then you fill in the required info, name and email (if you don’t have a Tumblr account). If you want it to be published in your name then you put your name and a working email address, if not then just put anonymous and [email protected]. After all that you upload your photo(s) in the indicated area. When that’s finished you write in the caption box the requested information for the challenge found at the submission guidelines. Then you pick the day you want to submit it on and press send. If you want to have your work linked to another site, such as LJ or DeviantART, you can put a url next to the name of the author and then it will be linked back to your blog or account.

Hopefully this helped to clear a few things, if not please don’t hesitate to send another message and I’ll try and clear up any confusion. Hopefully you don’t find this to negative, I’m truly not trying to be and I’m sorry if it comes across that way.
