(Death Note) This Is How I Disappear - TzviaAriella
"I'll ask again. How would you prefer to die?"
For a moment, Light merely stared at him. Then he laughed, soft and bitter. "Old age."
"That's not one of your options."
In This Is How I Disappear by @yagami-raito-kun / @half-sassed, Light is caught as Kira and sentenced to death. He’s given the option to choose the method of death...and, well. Let’s just say that the method is incredibly personal, for the members of the Task Force.
TzviaAriella doesn’t hold back on the psychological and physical details surrounding Light’s execution. And as a result, this story (especially every scene with Light) is one of the scariest things I’ve ever read - and I’m not even a terrified teenage mass murderer on the death row. This is the type of fic that’ll stick with you long after you’ve finished reading it. It’s amazingly well-written, and about as real as one can possibly get in a world featuring supernatural notebooks of death. You might not want to touch this fic if you’re just looking for a happy pick-me-up, but otherwise, if you like Death Note, you’ll be blown away.
Summary: After an international tribunal condemns nineteen-year-old Light Yagami to death, the Kira Task Force must come to terms with the fallout of the case–-and with Light’s surprising last request.
