Six Sexy Words
finally watching s4 of scissor seven after procrastinating and now im BALLING MY EYES OUT OVER REDTOOTH AND CHAIRMAN JIANG
Well I finished the Darth Plagueis book.
It was awful.
Ji Hyun (Oh Jun Taek) is a freshman at a university in Seoul. He comes from a small rural town and is used to living in the quiet countrysid
The first two episodes are now available on Viki!
(four episodes are now available, as of 4/6)
And some reviews are already in:
After watching episodes 1 & 2–
The positives:
They made this series like a true kdrama
The production value is excellent
There’s quality in the writing, in the direction, the settings, the cinematography
It’s longer episodes
It’s more episodes
The negative:
It feels like “grooming” and I’ve really never felt like that about any of the other hundred, or so, BLs I’ve watched, before. I don’t even like using that word, because it triggers all the homophobia out there, but I’m just calling it like I see it…so far.
Granted, it’s only the first 2 episodes and there might be a misconception on my part, so I guess we’ll just have to see where it goes.
ADDENDUM (with spoilers):
With the 3rd and 4th episodes, I’m feeling better about the relationship between Ji Hyun and Jae Won. They really had my heart pounding in a couple of scenes.
If that bitch of an ex-girlfriend of Jae Won’s keeps coming between the two, I don’t think that will help his state of mind.
I hope the restaurant owner, Ji Hyun’s boss, kicks her ass! She needs a good ass-kicking! 😃
All in all, so far, I think this is one of the emotionally truest, and deepest stories, yet, in Korean BL.
I really think this one will succeed in redefining what bl
can ascend to.

“Made a mistake,” the spark wheezes, choking when the hand around his neck tightens.
“Yes, you did.” The stranger's voice is like glass scraping over gravel. “Out here in the dark, looking as ripe as you do.”
Stiles can't help but smirk, leaning into the werewolf's hold despite the pain. “I meant you.”

I do NOT get the hype around carry on guys, i really wanted to but i DON'T.
Hey, uh, quick question; why the Kentucky-fried fuck does a tower-defense anime mobile game have better writing, worldbuilding and characters than 80% of current entertainment?
I’m not even exaggerating or being disingenuous, this goddamn game has more heart and soul in the story than any mobile title should ever have and I am convinced that it should be an animated show, because holy shit do more people need to see this...
... that and I want to see the rest of the story play out by itself because I’m stuck on a particularly difficult level in episode 3.
I’d say my sole complaints with this game is that the grind for resources can be grating at times, and there’s no clear in-game way to access event storylines after the events themselves have passed, so you’re fucked if you wanted to catch up later after life got in the way. (Which is a crying shame, because that Obsidian Festival event had my favorite joke in it)
But I digress, I want to focus on the writing and presentation of the story. And with that in mind, my primary grievance is that this masterpiece of writing (as far as I’ve seen) isn’t available for more people to experience. Unless there’s just some fantastic mobile game Let’s-Player out there, but I highly doubt any Let’s-Play would allow for this story to be given the space for immersion it deserves.
TL;DR: Someone please take this and let the writers turn it into a show, even if it’s straight-to-DVD. I would buy all the DVDs.
