Happy Thedas Weekend!! How about 'is that the only tent we have?' from the forced proximity prompt list for Darrick/Zevran?
Zevran sounds... not quite like he's pouting as he asks, but it's a very near thing. He already had opinions on the usual tents, and this one can only barely be called a tent; it was all Bodahn had in the ox cart.
Darrick snorts inelegantly and slings an arm around Zevran's middle.
"Since Alistair threw a shriek at the last one?" he asks. "Yes, this is th'only one we got."
"I did not throw a shriek at it," Alistair protests, in the middle of setting up his own (still full-size) tent. "I got used as a springboard by a shriek."
Ignoring Alistair, Zevran asks, "So why is His Highness--"
("Hey now," Alistair interjects.)
"--not using the lean-to?"
Darrick glances at Alistair, noticeably tipping his head back to draw attention to the fact that Alistair is at least a full head taller than either of them (and that was, admittedly, a bit generous on Darrick's part).
"Ya know, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't fit," he says, mild and pleasant, before he peels away from Zevran's side and resumes setting up the tent.
Zevran lurks nearby for a few moments longer, before he finally heaves a sigh and helps finish setting it up. Eventually, both of them can crawl inside--Zevran crawls right back out as Darrick lays out a bedroll, before joining him again when the bed's been made.
They have to sit back to back to shucks their boots, and it takes some finagling for them both to get into the bedroll. Eventually, though, they're comfortable. Darrick drapes himself over Zevran's chest like an additional, particularly heavy blanket, his chin leaning on the back of one hand.
"S'only temporary," Darrick says. "We'll pick up a new tent once we pass through an actual town. If only so I don't have to smell your fuckin' boots."
"And that's the only reason?" Zevran wonders dryly.
"We sleep like this literally ev'ry other night," Darrick argues. "Oh, woe is us, forced to... make no changes whatsoever."
"You say that, but what happens when the dog comes in at three in the morning?" Zevran asks.
That, at least, seems to give Darrick pause. Clegane's shadow passes by the tent as he patrols the campsite, as if in warning.
They can burn that bridge when they get to it.
