People need to understand.
People can regret their choices and actions.
People can decide to make things right.
People can admit they are wrong.
We shouldn't judge one for their past if they are striving on making themselves better and learn from it. As long as they say they acknowledge their wrongs and work from then on to make a right with what they learned, why should we hinder that?
Mistreating those that are trying is sending them back to their old ways. In their mind it's like, "Why bother? They are just going to treat me the same anyway." We need to respect those working on change and not condemn them.
Let's respect everyone. We don't have to forget, we don't have to forgive, but let's respect those that want to change from their pasts and move forward.
