1:Which dad did you romance first?

Hugo. When I was creating my Dadsona, I gave him the Sagan shirt, so I was like “guess I’ll do the JK Rowling thing and name you Starry McStar.” Did a quick search of names with star in the meaning and settled on Ashwin, because Ash used to be my go-to name in RPGs anyways (no, it had nothing to do with Pokemon). Then for the last name I picked an actual star: Vega. Oops.

So I thought it would be hilarious if he ended up with Hugo, and they could have a dad joke about who took whose name.

10: Any date(s) that you completely messed up?

Well, I’ve only gone on two so far. But man, that fucking penguin minigame. As slow as I am, I still managed to play it before they fixed the difficulty, and I ended up letting over 100 escape. I don’t think aquariums even have that many to begin with. That aquarium wound up with negative penguins because of me.

11: Any date(s) that you completely aced?

“Aced” in what way? *cough*The only other date I’ve been on is Damien’s first.

I got an A on it. I probably could have had an S if I hadn’t answered most questions honestly.

Yeah, and believe me. That is only the tip of the iceberg on things I am expected to pay for that her kids get a pass on.

The few times I have gone down there (and been outright fucking abused by the psycho bitch), I have had to pay for all my groceries. Even though when my dad comes up here, which is far more often, I also pay for his. And again, these are things that are actually necessary. Whereas her kid does not pay close to the amount of rent he should for living in a house that size + I am pretty sure she is not charging him for the extra cable box in his room that he promised to pay the service fees for. And that is not even bringing into account the actual years he lived with them for free.

Like, he does not have the money to buy glasses so he can then buy a permit so he can get his driver’s license and stop being such a godamned burden, but he has money to buy a brand new 3D television. And I am always the one stuck making up the difference for all of their shitty financial decisions. And I am just done. But either it is suck it up and deal with it, or cause a fight. And then my dad starts threatening a divorce, and then somehow that is also my fault, and not because they have a shitty godamned marriage and have for years. They actually were divorced once before, and I was hardly in the picture at that time. And I’ll never understand why the fuck they remarried, aside from the fact that they’re both more afraid of being alone than being in a resentful relationship.

lol and then my dad keeps telling me I need to date and “lower my standards.” Why? So I can end up in a hate-filled marriage like your last five? As hard as it is for me to live alone, I am 1000% certain it is still better than that.

Yes to all of this! I love the emails from the crew and just seeing them in different places on the ship having convos with each other. The message board in the crew quarters also has some funny stuff

I'm now about 20 hours into the game and I finally feel like I know the crew well enough to form opinions about individual characters, and I like pretty much everyone! I think Vetra and Drack are my favorites, and I also love the various dynamics the team members have with each other. Like you said, it's fun to listen to the conversations they have with each other on the Tempest and whenever I'm driving around in the Nomad. I swear Jaal has something going on with both Vetra and Peebee based on the party banter, but he ain’t getting Vetra, because I think I wanna romance her :)

But yeah, I've been having a blast with this game! I honestly feel a little sorry for anyone who decides to skip Andromeda based on the shit storm surrounding it, because I think the criticism is way overblown and the issues exaggerated, and people are missing out on a great gaming experience.

I'm so in pain that I cannot play it until I go back to Italy, I waited so much for it. :( Let me die.

It'll be something to look forward to! :) And you'll probably get to experience a more polished version of the game when you finally get to play it. Maybe the character creator will also be improved by then and you can make your Ryder way prettier than the current designs.

this really makes me wish I was better at video games (both as far as skills goes and as far as being able to commit the time required to them) and that I had spending money, because NOW I WANT THIS GAME

If you ever decide to spend some time on video games, make the Mass Effect series the one you spend it on! The original trilogy is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, and I'm already having a wonderful time with Andromeda. It's a very large game, so it'll take a long time to complete it, especially if you don't have a lot of free time on your hands, but there's no rush :) You can also switch the combat difficulty to "narrative", which makes the battles easy and allows you to focus on the story and exploration.
