ugh i am RAGING!!! like absolutely FUMING!!!!! i’ve been tracking this deer in the woods for like.. THREE DAYS (which is like THREE YEARS because we are cavepeople and our life expectancy is 15) and i was ABOUT TO HIT IT WITH BIG ROCK when stupid stupid GRUNGLE ran up behind me yelling “do we have enough berry for dinner?!?” AND SCARED IT OFF!!!!!! i was SO mad i almost hit grungle with rock instead but i decided not to because my leaf is already on yellow for bad behavior :/ ugh. whatev.

More black “cavepeople”, please

I wish there were more portrayals of prehistoric humans as black out there. >90% of “caveman” depictions you see out there show them as white or at least lighter-skinned. That might be justified in some contexts, such as stories set in Pleistocene Europe well after modern humans (Homo sapiens) had established themselves there (although they obviously wouldn’t have become “white” overnight upon settling Europe from Africa). But insofar as your archetypal “caveman” is supposed to represent the earliest days of our species, they should be portrayed as black to reflect our African origins.

(And yes, I know prehistoric hunter-gatherers probably didn’t all live in caves. I’m using “caveman” as an archetypal shorthand in this case.)
